Every average moviegoer knows quite a bit about history: about the ancient Romans, the Vikings, ancient Egypt, and knights and wars of the Middle Ages. We know what they looked like and what they did, because we’ve seen it all in the movies. The problem is that what we know is often, quite simply, nonsense.

A journey through history - complete with swords, horses, pirates, ninjas, dinosaurs, and bananas - and why almost nothing in the story of the world looks the way we imagine it did.
